This sign-up sheet allows you to share the areas of service you’re interested in. Signing up does not guarantee that you will be able to serve in that particular way. Many areas of involvement require an application and, in some cases, background checks. 
 
Choose which roles and areas of service you are willing to try and that area's ministry leader will reach out to you with next steps. Singing, playing a musical instrument, public speaking, teaching, serving. Please tell us more about you. Feel free to give concrete information, including how much experience you have and any educational/training experience you feel might be relevant. We are looking forward to getting to know you better and your hopes for Impact Temple Church.

Children, Youth, and Nursery Ministry Team

Equip children to know God’s love and to share God’s love with others by creating safe and fun learning environments where kids explore the God through story, creativity, and play. We also understand the value of community for our parents, so we encourage all parents to participate in some way. 

All children’s ministry volunteers will submit applications with references and will undergo a criminal background check. Teachers must by 18 years or older. 

Our Impact Kids Leader is Tiffany Rhodes. 
Our Impact Youth Leader is Matt Knight. 
Our Impact Nursery Leaders are Karen Knight and Billie Sue Taylor.

Prayer Team

Prayer is incorporated in various ways at Impact. We want to have a team of committed prayer warriors who bring the needs and requests of our community to the Lord. They also follow up with people who are sick or injured and those who have been going through difficult times. They keep the church leaders and shepherds aware and praying for the specific needs of the congregation. In addition to their commitment to pray, prayer team members are also committed to strict confidentiality. No prayer request will be shared without first receiving explicit permission from the person in need.

There are many different opportunities to pray.

  • We offer a drop-in prayer time before service open to all at 10am on Sunday's. 
  • We take prayer requests as a church on Sunday's at the close of service.
  • We have a prayer board where anyone can write down their prayer requests to share with others. These prayers are specifically prayed for on Tuesday's by church leadership.
  • P.T.O. (Prayer Time Outside) at Miller Park is a monthly prayer retreat from 9-12noon on the 2nd Tuesday of the Month at Miller Park. This type of prayer is meant to gather leadership and anyone interested in participating to seek the Lord together in community for ourselves and for our church.

Kitchen Team

At Impact, food is more than just physical sustenance. We follow Jesus and the apostles' practice of sharing life together around a meal table, where strangers from all walks of life have the opportunity to connect and become friends. The Kitchen Team works together to provide good meals every Sunday for lunch, Wednesday for dinner, and for other events throughout the year.

We hope to share the load of planning, preparing, serving, and cleaning up with others among our church on a regular basis. The Last Sunday of the Month Potluck is one way in which we do that by asking the church to provide the food that week which gives our kitchen team a break. We hope to grow rotating kitchen crew volunteers to continue to share this ministry.

Worship & A/V Team

Worshipping together is one of the core practices of the church. The worship team helps create a gracious and worshipful environment, and they lead the church into encounters with God through communal practices that form us spiritually, that proclaim God's goodness to the hurting and the lost, and that bring God glory and honor. We are, as the old hymn says, “prone to wander,” and worship refocuses our vision and our hearts back to where they belong: on Jesus.

All Worship Team Members, from worship leaders to accompanists to folks leading prayers all commit themselves first to following Jesus and attending to their own spiritual growth.

This Worship & A/V team helps guide the church through regular encounters with God's story through Scripture, prayer, music, teaching, and other communal practices. The A/V Team ensures the environment and technology aids worship and does not distract by setting and adjusting audio equipment, running display slides, recording audio and video, and running lights.

Welcoming Team & Hospitality

Do you like to help people feel welcomed and want to introduce them to our church and feel plugged in? We could use people to help talk to others on Sunday morning and on Wednesday nights. You can help answer questions and direct people to who they want to connect with or just to know what is going on at our church.

Our church leadership team values life groups and is currently working to facilitate their organization and institution. We want and need those of you who desire and are committed to helping launch life groups as an official function of Impact to be a part of this process.
